Many times we hear people confuse the terms "microdermabrasion" and "dermabrasion". We take the time to help educate our clients so that you are able to make the best choices for your treatment.

Dermabrasion is used to improve skin scars and other skin conditions and is performed under local anesthesia. Healing may take between one and four weeks.

Microdermabrasion is a quick procedure with almost no recovery time. The few outer layers of the skin are removed through the use of very fine sand crystals or a specialized instrument. Microdermabrasion provides a temporary, smoother and youthful complexion. It can also be used to prepare for and enhance cosmetic procedures, such as chemical peels.
